Trammell Music Conservatory and the Sharon Wick School of Engineering at the University of Iowa. Amazingly, 97% of the machines components came from John Deere Industries and Irrigation Equipment of Bancroft , Iowa.. Yes, farm equipment!

It took the team a combined 13,029 hours of set-up, alignment, calibration, and tuning before filming this video but as you can see, it was WELL worth the effort.
It is now on display in the Matthew Gerhard Alumni Hall at the University and is already slated to be donated to the Smithsonian.

We just spent the day working with Woody Harrelson doing the narration for the documentary movie “The Doors”. The movie is based on how the band got started playing music together, the ups & downs of the 1960’s drug culture and the fame that came their way so quickly. The band endured such pressure on there lives and it ended in total tragedy with the death of Jim Morrison and the breaking up of “The Doors”. For those of us who lived through this era, this is going to be a great movie.

The Doors

Woody, it’s been fun! Keep playing your piano, and we’ll jam together again.
